The Sno*Drift Rally is one of Atlanta Michigan's best kept secrets. It has been  in Michigan 41 years and has been here in Atlanta for the last 10 years and very few people even knows that it exists. It attracts drivers from all over the USA and as far away as Australia and Germany. For 2 days Montmorency County closes the roads for this event to take place. The race is put on by Rally America and held on the last weekend in January every year. It is run in stages on many different roads and townships for different racing environments. The only common factor between the stages is snow and ice making the elements the biggest challenge of all. It takes hundreds of volunteers to put this event on but it is a class act and even draws factory teams from car manufactures.

The Sno*Drift Rally is the first race of the season sponsored by Rally America and is a national championship series that starts in Michigan and each month of the upcoming year runs in a different state. There are usually around 50 different teams that participate in the various stages of the race , from professional racers to amateurs looking to start their careers.

Sno*Drift Rally is completely FREE  to spectators with a map to the various  stages given out on a first come-first served basis with great spectator viewing spots clearly marked. Registration of teams and volunteers is on Thursday along with testing and the real racing starts Friday and ends on Saturday. So come to Atlanta next January and share a most enjoyable week end with us
